The Restoration Church of Americus offers several opportunities to involve youth in the life of the church.
Children's Church with Elder Linda Williamson is held every first, third and fourth Sunday. Restoration Reads with Sis. Corliss Taylor is a weekly after school program designed to provide added academic instruction to students who desire to advance as well as to students who aim to maintain achieved success. Focus areas are: reading, comprehension, critical thinking, basic writing and basic math. Restoration Reads is held each Thursday at 6:00 PM from September to April and serves ages 6-10. Restoration Rubies with Min. Jess Sinclair invites girls ages 10 to 17 to mine for the gem within every Wednesday at 6 PM. B.E.T.A. (Building Expectations to Achieve) of Restoration with Min. Ralph Sinclair works with young men to impact hearts, minds and desires using Biblical principles every Wednesday at 6 PM. A youth-focused worship service with a sermon by Youth Pastor, Elder Caleb Edge takes place on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Youth are also recognized for achievements during this service. Under the direction of Sis. Willette Smith, youth praise dance is offered and meets each 3rd Sunday following worship service. The praise dance team is choreographed with the assistance of Sis. Trineshae Holloman and Sis. Melissa Holt. Youth Department coordinator, Terri Wooden plans core youth activities and invites youth to get involved with community outreach, leadership training and youth fellowship activities. |
